Splatoon may not be getting any brand new weapons or maps, but Nintendo will continue to tweak the game. In addition to a matchmaking update, Nintendo will buff some weapons as part of a balance patch slated for March 8.
Nintendo detailed the plans during today's Direct presentation. Last month, the developer revealed that it wasn't quite done with the Wii U shooter, and today's news confirmed that we'll continue getting new content into April and beyond.
The second update, called Volume 1, will introduce new weapon set recommendations. Nintendo hopes the change-up will encourage players to try out some of Splatoon's lesser-used weapons and items.
The Volume 2 update did not receive a release date.
In recent Splatoon news, the game has already found a place in Nintendo's upper echelon of best-sellers with over 4 million copies sold.
