It's been some time since we heard something about Insomniac's Spider-Man, launching on PlayStation 4 on a yet to be confirmed date, but some new small gameplay details have emerged online thanks to the game's Art Director.
Speaking on Twitter about the game, Art Director Jacinda Chew revealed that it will be possible to swan dive towards the street and swing back up at the very last moment. Additionally, it seems like the character won't receive any damage when landing and will actually land in a stylish way, once more highlighting how the team is trying to create the best possible representation of the character.
My favorite thing to do in #SpiderManPS4 is to swan dive towards the street and swing back up at the very last minute. I love how my stomach drops every time!

You... land, but I’m Spider-Man so I need more swag. Landing is boring. I highly encourage you to swing stylishly when you play. It’s half the fun! https://t.co/TACqg9G54z

Additionally, it seems like the final box art is going to be made available soon.
Yes! We’re very close to finalizing it. It’s going to pop on store shelves nicely. Can’t wait to unveil it. https://t.co/wzILhaQ7hV

Insomniac's Spider-Man is setting out to be one of the best games starring the Marvel character, allowing players to get acquainted with a Peter Parker who's more experience in fighting crime.
Starring one of the world’s most iconic Super Heroes, Marvel's Spider-Man features the acrobatic abilities, improvisation and web-slinging that the wall-crawler is famous for, while also introducing elements never-before-seen in a Spider-Man game. From traversing with parkour and unique environmental interactions, to new combat and blockbuster action, it’s Spider-Man unlike any you’ve played before.
Sony Interactive Entertainment, Insomniac Games, and Marvel have teamed up to create a brand-new and authentic adventure. This isn’t the Spider-Man you’ve met or ever seen before. This is an experienced Peter Parker who’s more masterful at fighting big crime in New York City. At the same time, he’s struggling to balance his chaotic personal life and career while the fate of millions of New Yorkers rest upon his shoulders.
Spider-Man launches on a yet to be confirmed date exclusively on PlayStation 4.
