Earlier this afternoon, SouthPeak Interactive announced that it has acquired the North American publishing rights of Simon the Sorcerer 3D. Developed by Headfirst Publications, Simon the Sorcerer 3D is the third in this adventure game series, but only the first to use 3D graphics.
"There are very few 3D games that incorporate the character interaction and puzzle solving of classic adventure games," said SouthPeak president Armistead Sapp. "With its dazzling graphics and unique humor, Simon the Sorcerer 3D is a magical way to bring adventure gaming into the 21st century."
Players will encounter more than 80 NPCs and traverse through a number of locales including swamps, caves, and castles in Simon 3D's world. The game deviates from standard action games and embraces its adventure heritage by stressing the importance of puzzle solving and character interaction over fighting.
Simon the Sorcerer 3D is scheduled for release in the US this spring.
