South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been well-received by fans and critics alike, but maybe you’re not quite convinced? Hey, some of us still haven’t forgotten Chef’s Luv Shack on the N64. Well, good news -- Ubisoft is giving everybody a chance to try out The Fractured But Whole for free! You can check out a trailer for the demo, below.
Here’s everything you need to know about the demo:
“South Park: The Fractured But Whole is getting a free trial on Xbox One and PlayStation 4! Designed to allow interested players a chance to sample the fascinating world of South Park, the trial will feature no alterations to gameplay, except for a one-hour playtime restriction. Upon completion, players will be given the option to purchase the full game and all player progress will be saved and carried over should they decide to purchase the full game.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole is an outrageous sequel to 2014’s award-winning South Park: The Stick of Truth. With crime on the rise in South Park, the streets have never been more dangerous. The town needs new heroes to rise! Continuing in their role as The New Kid, players will become a member of Coon & Friends and fight for fame and their place beside the other kids.”
Wccftech’s Kai Powell thought South Park: The Fractured But Whole nailed the look and tone of the TV show, making it a must-play for fans.
“Would I recommend The Fractured but Whole to someone that’s a longtime fan of South Park? Absolutely. The entire town is filled with pop culture references and little winks and nods to even the less notable events in the show’s history. This is South Park at its most crude, yet the make-believe superheroes and roleplaying combat transcend genres to create a masterwork that’s an absolute gas to play.”
The South Park: The Fractured But Whole demo can be downloaded as of today (October 24). If you have fun playing superhero, the full game is currently available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 for $60. Ubisoft is also offering a $30 Season Pass, which includes a combat challenge and two story expansions.
