Soul Calibur: Lost Swords, a free-to-play fighting game on the PS3 is shutting down its servers by the end of the year.
Starting on September 30th you'll no longer be able to buy AP Potions or Continue tickets in the store. After that, on October 27th, no items at all will be available to be bought in the in-game store. You'll be able to use any items up until the actual closure, however, so you won't have to necessarily rush.
But is this the end of Soul Calibur as we know it? Not necessarily. The video itself that Bandai Namco posted suggests that these great warriors will live on. Does that mean that the franchise will be but a memory and live on through great YouTube videos an screenshots, or will we be seeing more of this exuberant fighting game franchise? Nothing new has been announced as of yet, however.
