Sony has sold more than two million PlayStation 4 consoles globally this week with still one day remaining.

　　At least, that’s what Ubisoft UK’s event specialist and team leader, Sunny Sanghera, claimed via Twitter some hours ago.

　　According to Sanghera’s Linkedin, his duties include, data collation and analysis, creating sales and marketing presentations, team management, face to face meetings, video editing and more.

　　Team leader and Events Manager for the industry leading Ubisoft field team. Managing a team of six reports across the UK. Working closely with key partners and various industry heads on a day to day basis.

　　In my role, it is my job to ensure the team is hitting all KPI's on a weekly monthly, quarterly and yearly basis. These are presented to the client, Ubisoft, via detailed presentations and various data documents. The main objective is to ensure the team is not only returning on the initial investment but also generating profit. This is done through various types of events throughout the year and across the UK. Detailed planning for product launches include marketing strategies, sales projection, budget management and more. Outside of product launches, planning is set up months in advance for both pre-order and expo events.

　　Exact numbers are unknown at this point and Sony has yet to issue a statement regarding PS4 hardware sales this week. Cyber Monday will kick off tomorrow, and we’re sure that Sony will sell more consoles the coming days.

　　According to Sony’s most recent financial results, 47.4 million PS4 console has been shipped to retailers as of September 30, 2016. Back in May of this year, Sony announced that the PS4 sold-through more than 40 million units globally.

　　The recent introduction of Sony’s enhanced PS4 console, the PS4 Pro, helped triple PS4 console sales in the UK. PS4 console sales soared by 204% for the week ending Saturday, November 12th.

　　Sony’s main rival, Microsoft has already issued a statement, claiming “strong demand” for Xbox One hardware and games this Black Friday.
