Sony will be launching the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds DLC alongside Microsoft’s Xbox One X console this November.
The release of The Frozen Wilds DLC was announced on Sony’s official blog. The expansion will take Aloy to the icy territories in the north. "Beyond the northern mountains, the borderlands of the Banuk tribe challenge all who dare enter to survive the extremes. But now this frozen wilderness harbors a new threat, and for Aloy, a new mystery - one she’s determined to solve", the expansion's description reads.
The Frozen Wilds DLC for Horizon Zero Dawn will release on November 7 – the day that Microsoft will launch its enhanced Xbox One console, the Xbox One X.
Sony and Dutch developer Guerrilla Games announced the first expansion for Zero Dawn at this year’s E3 event. At the same event, Microsoft announced the release date and price for the Xbox One X. “Xbox empowers game developers large and small to create different types of games for every type of player,” Microsoft's head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, said during this year's E3 conference. “Not only do we have the biggest cross-platform blockbusters on our platform, we’ve also scoured the world to bring our fans unique content from creative artists that capture the imagination.”
Horizon Zero Dawn is considered one of the best PlayStation 4 games released, and it has been selling amazingly well since its release this March. The official trailer for the Frozen Wilds DLC can be watched below:
