This April 1, Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) will consolidate a number of its business operations to better prepare for long-term objectives. One of the groups that will be affected is 989 Studios, which will have its development and publishing divisions merged into one entity within SCEA.
Because of this move, 989 Studios president Kelly Flock will leave the company to pursue new opportunities on April 1.
" decision to focus and direct our development organization efforts through the integration of 989 Studios within Sony Computer Entertainment America will provide our company with unrivaled capacity to create and distribute revolutionary and breakthrough game content," said Kaz Hirai, COO and president of SCEA.
