Following yesterday's earnings report, EA stock jumped 9.21 percent and saw the biggest dollar-per-share increase of the day, up $5.30. ERTS closed at $62.84 after a daily high of $63.10. Stock prices for its sports-game rival, Take-Two Interactive (TTWO), rose 65 cents per share today, or 2.97 percent, finishing the day at $22.50. Take-Two has unleashed a barrage of announcements this week, and its stock price has steadily climbed as investors watch closely to see what happens next.
Shares in Midway Games (MWY) rose 3.45 percent, up 30 cents today, closing at $9 even for the day. Midway is due to release the controversial drug-dealing/crime-stopper hybrid NARC in March. THQ Inc. (THQI), which is expected to confirm a version of Tetris for the Nintendo DS, MotoGP 3 for the PC and Xbox, and an investment in Chinese wireless distributor C-Valley, saw its stock price rise 2.97 percent today, closing 65 cents higher at $22.50.
