SIDEBAR: As a software company, Stardock is best known for creating utilities that allow Windows users to customize their PCs with animated desktops and other such scintillating tasks. But after enjoying success with the Galactic Civilizations line of sci-fi turn-based strategy games, the company is expanding its lineup of interstellar interactive entertainment.
The publisher today announced that its next entertainment excursion, Ironclad Games' real-time strategy game Sins of a Solar Empire, has gone gold. The game pits three factions against one another in a race for supremacy that will see them conquering and colonizing planets, developing their own technologies, and managing both empire-wide concerns and battle tactics.
Sins of a Solar Empire is set to release in North America on February 4 and will retail for $39.95. The game has been rated T for Teen.
