Last week, Nintendo's latest portable--the 3DS--and its launch lineup led all new releases. This week is decidedly less busy, sporting just a small handful of new games.
Leading the charge this week is Masstiff Games' Remington Super Slam Hunting Alaska for the Wii. The third game in the Super Slam series, Alaska is set in the United States' northernmost state, and it follows games set in Africa and North America. The title sports solo, cooperative, and versus game modes, and it has players hunting Alaskan animals. Too close for comfort?
Also out this week is Karaoke Revolution Glee: Volume 2 for the Wii. From Konami, the second game in the Glee series adds more than 20 new songs from the show, including Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance, Aerosmith's "Dream On," Madonna's "Like a Virgin," the All American Rejects' "Gives You Hell," and others.
Gamers looking for a new Kinect party game can grab Take Two's Carnival Games: Monkey See, Monkey Do this Tuesday for the Xbox 360. The latest Carnival Games entry has players participating in a range of carnival games like ring fling, pop darts, granny shot, and others. Additionally, gamers will be able to unlock over 40 pets and costumes for their Xbox Live avatars with Monkey See, Monkey Do.
Shooter fans this week aren't without an option. Viva Media's Shadow Harvest: Phantom Ops arrives exclusively for the PC on Tuesday. The tactical shooter thrusts players into the boots of a soldier fighting in combat areas around the globe.
