Following more leaks than we can count, the new entry in the Tomb Raider series, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, has finally been confirmed officially by Square Enix for PC and consoles.
The teaser trailer, which we have first seen yesterday, confirms that the game will release simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 14th in all regions. Sadly, the teaser doesn't tell us much of the game, but thankfully we won't have to wait much longer to learn more about it, as the full reveal will take place in a little over a month, on April 27th.
The Shadow of the Tomb Raider name has been known for quite some time. In late 2016, a PowerPoint presentation has been spotted on a developer's laptop while riding the Montreal subway. Yesterday, the game's official website has been launched, and the source code revealed the final release date for all regions ahead of today's official confirmation.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be the 'climatic end' to Lara Croft's origin story trilogy. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
In the meantime, you may pre-order on Amazon.
