Ubisoft today announced a September 15 European release date for The Settlers Gold Edition on DVD-ROM. The PC strategy sim includes both The Settlers Heritage of Kings and its expansion disc in one pack. The American edition of Heritage of Kings released to a lukewarm reception in February, and the expansion pack never made its way here. Likewise, the Gold Edition bundle has not yet been announced for release in the North American market. The Settlers Heritage of Kings is the medival real-time strategy series' first installment in 3D, and it places a greater focus on city building and resource management than on traditional RTS-like combat.
