Actor and writer Seth Rogen is getting in on the podcast craze. The Superbad writer announced that he is making a show called Storytime, and the main premise is that he will invite his famous friends to sit down for a chat where they tell him a story about their life.
The series premieres on October 6, but the first guest hasn't been announced. In a teaser, Rogen reveals that some of the guests will include Ant-Man actor Paul Rudd, director and writer Ava Duvernay, musician David Crosby, and bear attack survivor Colin Dowler.
Rogen is known for enjoying marijuana, and so is Crosby. In the teaser, Crosby tells a story about how The Beatles liked him because he was known to have very good weed.
Storytime will be a "heavily edited" podcast featuring effects and a musical score, which will help it become more of an "audio documentary," Rogen said.
"I ask them if they have any incredible stories they think are entertaining or formative, or just something they've wanted to tell for a long time, and my pitch is that I will take that story and turn it into a sort of audio documentary," Rogen told Vulture of his new show.
Storytime will be available everywhere you can get podcasts.
