A few days ago, Seta announced its Aleck 64 system, which is basically a retrofitted Nintendo 64 board with additional sound capabilities that is designed for coin-op titles. Currently in the development stages, the new system would give developers a chance to make arcade games using the system and then easily bring them to home players.
Using custom licensed hardware, third-party developers could make their games available for play in pizza joints or convenience stores. So far no titles have been announced using the system.
