Sega.com has announced that it has significantly reduced its workforce. The company said that the job cuts were in line with the planned company-wide staff reduction, which was outlined by its Japanese headquarters last week.
"Sega.com will be reducing its workforce effective immediately as it focuses its business in accordance with previously announced plans by Sega Corporation," the company said in a statement. "Sega continues to remain committed to SegaNet, the world's first high-speed online console gaming network and ISP, and there will not be any interruption of the SegaNet service as a result of this head count reduction."
GameSpot will have more as it becomes available.
