Sega has announced that it will rent out Dreamcast games in Tsutaya video rental stores in Japan. Beginning September 30, consumers will be able to rent from over 600 locations nationwide. A total of 20 games - including Space Channel 5, Virtua Fighter 3tb, Crazy Taxi, and Sonic Adventure - are scheduled to be on rental shelves. The company is also currently in talks with third-party companies to acquire the rights for rental. The games will be rented out at a price of 400 yen [US$3.70] per week.
