Fox has released a trailer for Jackie, providing a first look at the period movie that stars Oscar-winner Natalie Portman in the title role.
Jackie tells the story of the immediate aftermath of John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963 from the eyes of the First Lady. The trailer is pretty striking, using some of the "Camelot" lines that Jackie Kennedy referenced in a 1963 Life magazine interview following her husband's death.
Jackie comes to select theaters on December 2. Portman's co-stars include Peter Sarsgaard as Robert Kennedy and John Carroll Lynch as Lyndon B. Johnson.
The film was directed by Pablo Larrain (No, The Club) from a script written by Noah Oppenheim (The Maze Runner, Allegiant).
Portman won an Oscar for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for 2010's Black Swan. She was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for 2005's Closer.
