There's a reason these trademark Halo vehicles, such as the Banshee and Wraith, look and perform differently than the last time we saw them.
343 explains: "During Halo 5: Guardians, the Sangheili are embroiled in a massive civil war that tears apart their homeworld of Sanghelios. In these tumultuous times both the Covenant and Swords of Sanghelios have reopened long-dormant manufacturing facilities and turned to allied colonies to provide much-needed vehicles and munitions."
The Banshee, for example, now has an energy shield, while the update Ghost will offer a "greater level of protection and higher performance." The Wraith, meanwhile, is smaller and more agile. To get a closer look at the updated vehicles, click through the images in the gallery above.
Further details about how the vehicles have changed are available on the Halo website.
Halo 5 launches on October 27 exclusively for Xbox One.
In other recent news about the game, the Seattle Sounders MLS team will wear Halo-branded jerseys in their matchup against LA Galaxy tonight. In addition, you can now listen to the game's title song, watch a new story trailer in which Master Chief is "dead." On top of that, Microsoft has confirmed that work has begun on Halo 6.
