The list of video games found at the home of the Sandy Hook shooter included a computer game called "School Shooting," investigators said in a report released this week.

The game has players controlling a character who enters a school and shoots at students.

The Sandy Hook shooter did just that on the morning of December 14, 2012, when he entered Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. and used an automatic rifle to kill 20 children and six adults.

Other games found at the shooter's home included games from the Dance Dance Revolution, Grand Theft Auto, and Metal Gear Solid franchises, among many others.

The "School Shooting" game is somewhat of a mystery. In the 44-page Sandy Hook report released this week, no details are provided regarding who made the game or where it can be purchased or downloaded.

Connecticut state attorney Stephen Sedensky, who authored the Sandy Hook report, provided a few more details to Kotaku, saying the game is not Half-Life 2 mod School Shooter: North American Tour 2012.

"The game 'School Shooting' appeared to be a very basic stand alone PC game that had no connection to the game Half Life," Sedensky said.

The Sandy Hook report notes that the shooter played many video games, but said there is no reason to believe games caused the massacre. Investigators determined no motive whatsoever. The report does conclude, however, that the shooter had a preoccupation with mass shootings and a "strong interest" in firearms. He was also described as having "significant mental health issues."
