Dreamcatcher has confirmed that its latest adventure game, Schizm: Mysterious Journey, is now shipping and will arrive in stores by next week. The game, which was developed by LK Avalon, was created primarily for DVD-ROM, although it will also be released in an abbreviated version on a series of CD-ROMs.
Schizm is set in and around a deserted space colony. Players control two characters that must investigate the mysterious disappearance of the colony's previous inhabitants. The game's nonlinear story was created in collaboration with Australian science-fiction writer Terry Dowling, and it takes players in a wide variety of prerendered 3D environments. Players simultaneously control the game's two main characters, who can explore the gameworld independently.
Schizm will be available in stores next week for an approximate retail price of $29.99. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
