iGames Publishing has today announced that Savage: The Battle for Newerth has entered the second phase of beta testing and that the test has now been opened up to an additional 2,000 players. iGames also stated that it wishes to double the current number of players when the beta test enters its third stage, and that any gamers wishing to take part can still register their interest at the official beta test Web site.

　　"We received so much constructive feedback from the participants in our initial phase of beta testing and we were able to implement an incredible amount of suggestions," said Jesse Hayes, COO of developer S2 Games. "We're really excited about this most recent build and especially can't wait to introduce the beast horde--we think people will be blown away!"

　　The latest build of Savage features a number gameplay tweaks and enhancements, and, as mentioned above, it also introduces the beast horde for the first time. Information on this new playable race is scarce at present, but an announcement from S2 Games is expected to be forthcoming.
