The folks at Zombie (the company behind last year's ZPC - No Flesh Shall Be Spared game) are hard at work on their next game, which goes by the working title Spec Ops - U.S. Army Rangers, where players will control a team of (what else?) US Army rangers in a 3D environment.
To kick start Spec Ops' multiplayer aspect, Zombie turned to Seattle-based RTime and that company's Interactive Networking Engine. That engine will allow two to six players to compete over the Internet, which Zombie expects to offer for free.
Spec Ops - U.S. Army Rangers has an expected fourth quarter 1997 release date.
