Yesterday, Rockstar Games got fans of the Red Dead series quite excited with a teaser image which seems to indicate that an announcement regarding a new game of the franchise may be coming soon. Today, the publisher has doubled down on the teasing with another image which definitely shows more.

　　The new Red Dead teaser image, shared earlier today on the publisher's Official Twitter profile, shows seven different characters and an evocative sunset. The image doesn't seem to refer to the original Red Dead Redemption, so it can be safe to assume that we are going to get a brand new game and not a simple remaster of the popular open world game released a few years back on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

　　Showcasing seven characters in a western title cannot be a coincidence. It seems a clear nod to The Magnificent Seven.

　　A new entry in the Red Dead series has, most likely, been in the works for quite some time. A few months ago, an in-game map from this yet to be announced game has emerged online, but nothing else has come in since then. With Rockstar teasing so much about the game, we will definitely hear more about it in the near future.

　　Together with rumors that have surfaced online regarding a new entry of the series, there have also been some well put together projects which have shown how much fans crave for a new game, such as a Red Dead Retribution project which has been sent to Rockstar to show interest for the series. Now, it seems like fans will finally be getting what they have been longing for.
