Rockstar Games Launcher Out Now on PC, Lets You Grab GTA: San Andreas for Free-October 2024
Oct 20, 2024 11:32 PM

There's a Rockstar Games Launcher out now on PC, as announced today by the development house behind Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption.

By downloading the Windows desktop application, you'll get the chance (for a limited time, as usual with these promotions) to add Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to your account for free.

The Rockstar Games Launcher (RGL) is a new Windows desktop application that allows players to quickly and easily access their Rockstar Games PC collection in one place, across both digital and disc-based titles including Rockstar Games titles purchased from various digital stores. Players can also use the Launcher to shop for new Rockstar Games PC titles to add to their collection.

For a limited time, you can claim a free copy of the classic Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on PC within the Launcher and permanently add it to your Social Club account’s library.

The Rockstar Games Launcher will support the following Rockstar Games titles:

  • Grand Theft Auto V

  • Max Payne 3: Complete Edition

  • L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition

  • Bully: Scholarship Edition

  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

  • Grand Theft Auto III

  Features

In addition to delivering centralized access to a player’s library of Rockstar Games for PC, The Rockstar Games Launcher comes with a host of additional features including the ability to organize cloud saves, receive automatic updates for Rockstar Games PC library software, and access to the latest news on Rockstar Games all from directly inside the Launcher.

Once the Launcher is downloaded, players can players can log into The Launcher with their pre-existing Rockstar Games Social Club account. A Rockstar Games Social Club account is required to access the Launcher and its features, with multiple Rockstar Games Social Club profiles supported.

Alongside select titles from the Rockstar Games PC Collection, players will also have the ability to purchase Add-Ons, all through various region-specific secure payment options.

The Launcher also features 2-Step Verification.

Optimistic PC gamers may see it as a way for Rockstar to prepare an upcoming release of Red Dead Redemption 2 on its own platform. Truth to be told, there have been some recent leaks pointing that way, though it's definitely too early to celebrate.

When and if Red Dead Redemption 2 is officially announced for the PC, we'll let you know here on Wccftech, that's for sure.
