Next week, gamers can play detective in Rockstar Games' action sleuther L.A. Noire, due out on Tuesday for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It will not be compatible with Microsoft's Kinect or Sony's PlayStation Move motion-control technology, but future Rockstar titles might. Kinect and Move are not suspects in L.A. Noire.

　　In an interview with The Guardian, Rockstar vice president of development Jeronimo Barrera said the team decided not to make the game compatible with motion control tech like Kinect or Move because doing so would have felt forced. However, he did not rule out motion-control compatibility with future Rockstar properties.

　　"And for [Rockstar Games], if the best way to get our vision across is motion control, we'll use it," he said. "But that all came along during the development of L.A. Noire and we didn't want to shoehorn it in."

　　As for the game, L.A. Noire follows Detective Phelps as he becomes entangled in a violent web of vice, corruption, and crime in 1940's Los Angeles. Players jump into the seedy underworld of the metropolis and are tasked with solving a series of murders in what Rockstar describes as an "open-ended challenge."
