THQ has announced that it has shipped its extreme sports game for the PlayStation, Rocket Power: Team Rocket Rescue, to retailers nationwide. Based on the popular cartoon Rocket Power, appearing on Nickelodeon, the game features skateboarding, surfing, and roller hockey events. You can play as four different characters as they attempt to save their surf shop from being closed down due to a competing shop.
"Our first Rocket Power video game release, Rocket Power Gettin' Air for Game Boy Color, remains a top ten seller since its March release according to NPD TRSTS Data," stated Alison Locke, executive vice president, North American Publishing. "Its all-ages, extreme sports appeal makes Rocket Power a great brand for the PlayStation marketplace this holiday."
