Rocket League's New Toy Line Launches In June, See Them Here
Rocket League's New Toy Line Launches In June, See Them Here-October 2024
Oct 31, 2024 1:25 PM

A Rocket League car toy line always seemed inevitable--and now they're almost here.

The previously announced pullback racing toys from Zag Toys will launch in "early June" at North American retailers such as GameStop and Target, with more stores to come. Details on international availability will be announced in the "near future." Psyonix originally said they were coming in Spring, so this is a delay.

The $6 toys, officially called Pull-Back Racers, will come inside a Rocket Ball, so you won't know which ones you're getting. The Octane, Dominus, Masamune, Hotshot, Grog, X-Devil, Merc, and Backfire cars are all part of the line, as well as four "limited variants." These come with a code that you can redeem in the game to unlock a Cold Fusion Rocket Boost and ZT-17 wheels, which aren't available through any other means and can be unlocked on all platforms.

In other news about Rocket League, the game has passed 30 million registered players.

Rocket League's continued popularity is also part of the reason why Psyonix is not rushing to make Rocket League 2 anytime soon.

"Why would we want to take this huge community that we've already built, that's still growing, and say, 'What you're playing now is going to be irrelevant in 12 months, but we want you to stop what you're doing, giving us money all over again, and move over to this other game,'" Psyonix's Jeremy Dunham explained. "That's not the right way to do things. I think that era of games has passed."
