The official Xbox YouTube channel has just uploaded a new, 13 minutes long video footage of Rise of the Tomb Raider. This is the Syria demo that Gamescom attendees were able to witness last week in Cologne, and now it just went public.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is the sequel to Tomb Raider, the successful reboot of the franchise published in 2013. There was a lot of controversy around the game since its announcement, as Microsoft signed a deal to get it exclusively on its platforms (Xbox 360 and Xbox One) for a period of time.
However, two weeks ago Square Enix confirmed that Rise of the Tomb Raider will also appear on PC and PlayStation 4 next year; the former now has a release window of "early 2016", while the latter will have to wait "Holiday 2016". PC gamers can be rather happy since they don't have to wait too long and they should be able to get the prettiest version of the game (unless something both horrid and weird happens), while obviously PlayStation 4 gamers get the shortest end of the stick in this case; then again, the PS4 version might include additional DLC and patches released in the meantime.
Xbox gamers will be able to play Rise of the Tomb Raider from November 10.
