A new Rise of the Ronin action-packed trailer was shown during yesterday's The Game Awards, providing the best look yet at Team NINJA's open-world action game.

　　The new trailer, which can be watched below, shows how the game will feature some of the studio's signature excellent action game mechanics, making it almost feel like open-world Nioh, which wouldn't really be surprising, as it is being directed by Fumihiko Yasuda, the director of the popular Soulslike series. The trailer also confirms the game's March 22nd, 2024 release date, making it one hell of a day for video game releases, as Dragon's Dogma 2 and Princess Peach: Showtime! also launches on the same day.

　　Japan at the end of the 19th century was characterized by the fall of the Tokugawa Shogunate, a period of oppression and stagnation. Explore the vast world of late-Edo period Japan by horse and glider, while battling foes using a wide range of weapons and equipment – melee weapons like swords and spears, as well as ranged weapons like firearms and thrown weapons.
