Riot, on the heels of the European LCS promotion tournament, has announced the ladder lock date for those looking to compete in the first of the Coke Zero sponsored 2014 Challenger Series.

At 11:59AM PST on January 3rd, 2014 Riot will take the top ranked 5s challenger teams and seed them into the first of the 2014 Challenger Series. Riot's press released noted that teams competing in the Challenger Series will need to be be LCS ready.
Riot noted that they'll have more details about the Challenger Series in the following weeks. So expect to hear about "structure, prizes, and more," as we creep past the holiday season.
