Capcom just announced on its official Twitter account that Resident Evil 7 will support PlayStation 4 Pro with 4K and HDR graphics. There are no additional details yet, for instance about the 4K resolution being native or not, but they may be revealed during TGS 2016.
That's yet another perk for PlayStation 4 users beside the already known PlayStation VR support, though you'll have to choose one or the other whenever you actually play.

Resident Evil 7 Biohazard will represent a major shift in design from the previous installments, in an attempt to freshen the franchise. Just to begin with, you won't play anymore as a toughened soldier but only as a normal person in an impossible situation. Enemies will also generally be stronger than the player character, Capcom recently confirmed.
The perspective has switched from the classic third person to first person, probably to facilitate VR compatibility. Resident Evil 7, set somewhere in a plantation in rural America, is due to launch on January 24th, 2017 (January 26th in Japan) for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One; don't forget to check our Gamescom preview based on the latest demo.
