Resident Evil 7, the recently released survival horror game by Capcom, has been praised as a return to form for the entire series. Still, some players were disappointed to learn that no classic character has a prominent role in the game, Thankfully for them, things are about to change.
Capcom has confirmed that the Resident Evil 7 free DLC Not a Hero, which will release on all formats sometime this Spring, will star one of the series' most beloved characters, Chris Redfield. No other detail has been released for this separate story, with Capcom only teasing that Chris is chasing something or someone.

As mentioned above, Resident Evil 7 is a return to form for the franchise, bringing back the classic focus on horror and survival instead of action like some of the entries in the series following Resident Evil 4. In our review of the game, we have defined Resident Evil 7 as brilliant and, most of all, scary.
But it’s the house and the Baker family that make Resident Evil 7 so brilliant. It’s been years since we felt terrified of a game, at points unable to continue without a break, and despite it feeling slightly too long, that’s something well worth celebrating. Resident Evil 7 is back, it’s brilliant, and it’s scary. Who’d have thought we’d be saying that a few years ago? Where it goes next is anyone’s business, but Capcom finally seem to be back on track, and we couldn’t be happier.
Resident Evil 7 is now available in all regions on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
