If you previously feared that Batman: Arkham VR and Resident Evil 7 were meant to be definitive PlayStation VR exclusives, you can rest easier now. A couple of ads spotted by the industrious people of the Web prove that both games will eventually be available on other platforms, after a certain amount of time.

　　More specifically, Batman: Arkham VR will be exclusive to PlayStation VR until 31 March 2017. You'll have to wait a lot more to play Resident Evil 7 in VR elsewhere, though - that game will be a PlayStation VR timed exclusive for a full year.

　　Clearly, Sony paid Warner Bros. and Capcom to promote PlayStation VR. The good news is that PC (and even Xbox One, once Scorpio is released) gamers will eventually be able to play these games without owning a PlayStation 4/PlayStation VR setup.

　　 Batman: Arkham VR, a PS VR launch title, has been developed by Rocksteady Studios, the creators of Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Knight. In the game, the Caped Crusader has to investigate Nightwing's sudden death; this adventure is completely focused on Batman as a detective, so don't expect any of the frantic combat of the Arkham trilogy - which is probably good, as it could have easily induced motion sickness in first person VR view.

　　Resident Evil 7, on the other hand, will be the first big title to allow a complete playthrough of the game with VR. In fact, Capcom recently admitted that the game's development was plagued by issues before they decided to create the new RE ENGINE, which helped a lot in making the game VR friendly.

　　Capcom will now attempt to take the lead in the VR market with Resident Evil 7 when it ships on January 24th, 2017. If the above ad can be trusted, in January 2018 you'll be able to play the game on other platforms in VR mode.
