A new Resident Evil 4 remake mod that is now available for download for free introduces a playable version for both the main campaign and Mercenaries mode of who is undoubtedly one of the most popular characters of the entire series.
Thanks to the Ultimate Wesker Mod, players will be able to use the villain in both the main campaign and Mercenaries mode. The character comes complete with working melee attacks and animations, although the mod doesn't seem to work in the campaign as well as it does in Mercenaries Mode, as sometimes, attacks will miss. The mod also includes four different costumes - regular Resident Evil 4 outfit, STARS outfit, original Resident Evil 4 outfit, and default without facial rigging but with glasses.
Since the remake launched last month, modders have been hard at work introducing new features and improvements to the Resident Evil 4 remake, making Ashley and Ada fully playable, among other things. Even without unofficial improvements, the remake is an excellent game that also received Shinji Mikami's seal of approval.
The release of the Resident Evil 4 remake, however, was only the beginning, as CAPCOM released a couple of updates that improved the game on consoles and introduced the aforementioned Mercenaries Mode. Judging from the game's files, the Japanese developer is also working on the Separate Ways DLC expansion starring Ada Wong, which will not take as long to release as the Resident Evil Village expansion, according to a reliable insider, as this expansion was planned, unlike that of the eight main entry in the series.
Resident Evil 4 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. You can learn more about the game by checking out Nathan's review, who praised the remake but found that more could have been done with it.
