Resident Evil 4 Remake Looks Fantastic In First-Person Mode-September 2024
Sep 20, 2024 11:34 AM

The soon-to-be-released Resident Evil 4 remake, unlike the seventh and eighth main entries in the series, will employ the same third-person camera seen in the original release as well as in the remakes of the second and third entries in the series, but PC players may be able to enjoy the game with a first-person view thanks to modders.

Well-known RE Engine modder praydog, who worked on the REFramework, which made it possible to easily mod games powered by the engine, shared a few days ago a new video showcasing a first-person mod test based on the Chainsaw free demo. While not perfect, this test looks quite promising, as it makes the Resident Evil 4 remake look scarier and more immersive.

The already mentioned Resident Evil 4 remake Chainsaw Demo was made available last week on PC and consoles, allowing players to get a taste of the experience before the game officially launches next week, on March 24th. While the demo does not have any major limitation, as demos for previous entries in the series did, at some point during the Village fight sequence, the demo will end, but a mod released recently removes this invisible timer, allowing players to go on fighting Ganados for as long as they want.

The Resident Evil 4 remake launches on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S on March 24th, 2023. You can learn more about the game by checking out my preview.
