During yesterday's Capcom spotlight event, the publisher released a demo for its upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake, and we now have a gameplay video from the demo running on PC.
Twitch ads already revealed that Capcom would be releasing the demo yesterday, and following its release, YouTuber 'ElAnalistaDebits' uploaded a new video, showing the demo running on PC on Ultra Settings with plenty of bells and whistles. This video clearly shows the visual improvements of the remake compared to the original 2005 title. Check it out below, and judge for yourself:
In all honesty, Capcom's latest remake is looking pretty spectacular and we can't wait for this game to come out later this month.
Capcom announced the highly-anticipated remake back in June of last year. The Remake aims to retain the essence of the original game while using Capcom’s RE Engine to deliver modernized gameplay, a reimagined storyline, and highly-improved graphics.
Resident Evil 4 joins Leon S. Kennedy six years after his hellish experiences in the biological disaster of Raccoon City. His unmatched resolve caused him to be recruited as an agent reporting directly to the president of the United States. With the experience of multiple missions on his back, Leon is dispatched to rescue the president’s recently kidnapped daughter. Leon tracks her to a secluded European village, however after making first contact he discovers a fervor beyond reason grips the local populace.
Now, this reimagined tale of survival in the face of overwhelming terror returns to deliver a visually stunning modern gaming experience that is true to the promise of the original release. Many team members from the production of 2019’s top-selling and critically acclaimed Resident Evil™ 2 also make their return to delve deeper into the essence of Resident Evil 4. Fans and newcomers alike can revel in both the new and familiar, as RE Engine heightens the original’s creative direction to tell a story that is darker and even more unsettling.
Resident Evil 4 Remake releases on March 24 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Here's what we wrote about the remake in our preview. "Unlike the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes, which modernized the formula of the original games, the Resident Evil 4 remake doesn't bring the same radical changes and feels extremely familiar", our very own Francesco de Meo wrote. "Like in the original, Leon can shoot enemy parts, such as their legs, to disorient his foes, and knock them down using a melee attack, using his knife to parry their melee and ranged attacks. When fighting Ganado, the parasite's body can become exposed, which will increase the enemy's power and speed, making knife parries even more important."
