The Resident Evil 2 Remake has been released just a few months ago, but it seems like the development of a Resident Evil 3 Remake is well underway, and the game might be released sooner than what most expect.
AestheticGamer, who correctly revealed information about Resident Evil VII: Biohazard before official announcements, recently revealed that the Resident Evil 3 Remake is currently in development by an outside studio and not by Capcom Division 1. The game is also not going to be what people expect.
Additionally, Resident Evil 8 is also in the works, but it will take some time to see the game released, as it's apparently coming on next-gen consoles.
The series will be kinda "unofficially" almost annual for the next few years, though of course as game development goes anything could be delayed. For example, RE8 got a bit delayed and I can say to you now that you shouldn't expect it until next-gen is on the table. What is on the table is REmake 3, but REmake 3 is...Not what a lot of people are probably going to expect. It's not being made by the same team that made REmake 2, in fact it's not even being internally developed by Capcom Division 1 at all. Who is developing it is very interesting, but for another day, it'll be coming about a lot sooner than people probably are expecting.
As Capcom has yet to say anything about the Resident Evil 3 Remake, we have to take everything with a grain of salt. We will keep you updated on the matter as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
