Renee Young And Other WWE Talent Test Positive For COVID-19-October 2024
Oct 19, 2024 2:46 AM

A new round of confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been revealed at WWE. While Pro Wrestling Sheet's original report of the outbreak didn't reveal any names, WWE talent like Renee Young and Kayla Braxton have taken to Twitter to reveal they are sick.

Just days after one of WWE's developmental talent tested positive, there are new cases stemming from the Performance Center, where WWE does its tapings of Raw, Smackdown, NXT, and its PPVs.

This time around, multiple people in the company who have been at the venue are now testing positive for the coronavirus. The names of the talent have not been revealed, but at least three people now have the virus, and this includes in-ring talent. And some of them are coming out on Twitter confirming they've been infected.

Kayla Braxton, correspondent for SmackDown and host of The Bump has revealed she has COVID-19 for a second time.

Was keeping it quiet but since everyone else is sharing, I feel like it is my responsibility to share this PSA: YOU CAN GET COVID-19 MORE THAN ONCE! I had it back in early March and then thought I was invincible after I recovered. Not true. Dont be dumb like me.

Additionally, host of the sadly canceled FS1 show WWE Backstage, Renee Young, has had a very tough week, as she also revealed she has the coronavirus.

Man. What a few days. My show gets cancelled and I get Covid. Wear your masks and wash your hands. Stay safe, everyone ❤️

Additionally, WWE producer Adam Pearce has tested positive as well. Reportedly, WWE will now be administrating more testing before TV production for this week, to ensure the virus hasn't spread any further.

In Florida, where the Performance Center is located, there has been a surge of confirmed cases of the virus. On Wednesday, the state confirmed a record-setting 5,500+ cases of COVID-19. This is the highest single-day count for Florida. 44 people have died within the last day, bringing the death toll to 3,281. The spike comes from people aged 25-34 according to a state report.

The spike comes as the weather outside gets nicer and people are leaving their homes. In early May, many Florida beaches reopened across the state. This is very likely part of the reason the virus is spreading so quickly, along with the fact Governor Ron DeSantis has eased restrictions on dining, shopping, and gyms in mid-May.
