Earlier this week, we reported that NPCs in Red Dead Redemption 2 will offer players additional directions if the mini-map is turned off. While incredibly cool on paper, it seems like this won't be specifically the case.
Alanah Pearce, who recently had the chance to play Red Dead Redemption 2, confirmed that NPCs are going to give players directions regardless of the mini-map status.
Also, got some clarification: the articles circling saying that if you remove your HUD in the game NPCs will give you more directions are false. They’ll always give you directions, people likely just noticed them more when their HUD was off.
Earlier this week, more details have also emerged on cooking, which is only possible while at camp. All dishes will bring some improvement for Arthur, including Dead Eye improvements. The used herbs influence the cooked meal considerably as well.
Earlier today, the Red Dead Redemption 2 Trophy List leaked online, revealing all that players will have to accomplish to get the Platinum Trophy. Some of the trophies are related to Red Dead Online, so it will be impossible to obtain the Platinum Trophy until the multiplayer component of the game launches next month.
Red Dead Redemption 2 launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26th.
