A few days ago, we asked you, the readers, to send in your comments to the first batch of Sonic Adventure screenshots. Reaction was mainly positive, but there were a few who didn't think Sonic Adventure looked as amazing as it should have looked.
Many were simply amazed by the visuals. Bos told us, "Sonic looked amazing, but the best part of the game definitely looked like the backgrounds and the areas. For example, the picture where Sonic is snowboarding, the ice in the background looked amazing. When I saw that, my jaw hit the keyboard!!!"
One reader told us, "While the graphics are incredible and the backgrounds are highly detailed (very impressive), I still would rather have a fast, long and enjoyable Sonic game that took many days to beat. If it pulls off both, then it'll probably be the best action-adventure of all time, but if it's just a game with a mere nine worlds that take nine hours to beat, then it'll just go down as a pathetic 3D remake."
Another told us, "I was rather disappointed. The graphics for Dreamcast just haven't been what I'd thought. The characters had very little textures and looked like Mario did in Mario 64 (one of the least-best-looking N64 games, at present)."
Few were really not impressed by the screenshots, including YHorton, who told us, "I don't think the screenshots were even near impressive! Hopefully when Sega unveils the game it will look much better."
The real test will come later tonight, when we'll have the real screens to show you. As soon as we post, be sure to write us with your comments. We'll collect them over the weekend and post a few Monday morning.
