Rainbow Six Vegas terrorizes PSPs-October 2024
Oct 22, 2024 1:58 PM

When Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas was announced in March of this year, it was slated to come out on current- and next-generation systems. A few months later, Ubisoft decided to scrap the current-gen versions, leaving only the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions in the pipeline.

Today, Ubisoft announced that the game is heading to another platform--the PlayStation Portable. This may not come as a surprise to some, since online retailers listed product pages for the handheld version last month. Though it bears the same name as its console brethren, the game will feature some slight differences. Gamers will fight terrorism in a parallel storyline to the 360 and PS3 versions and will have new characters to play as.

The single-player portion will feature viewpoints of two characters--assault specialist Brian Armstrong and sniper Shawn Rivers. Gamers will flip back and forth between the two soldiers and between first-person and third-person perspectives. Multiplayer mode will support six combatants via ad hoc and online play.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas has not yet been priced or rated and is due in stores this holiday season.
