Rainbow Six Siege's Upcoming DLC Teased
Rainbow Six Siege's Upcoming DLC Teased-October 2024
Oct 27, 2024 6:29 PM

The first expansion for Rainbow Six Siege, Operation Black Ice, was themed around our neighbor to the north, Canada. The game's upcoming expansions, meanwhile, will focus on USA, Brazil, and Japan, Ubisoft revealed today during its annual Investor Day presentation. Check out the slide below.

The USA-themed expansion will come out in Q2, followed by Brazil in Q3 and Japan in Q4. The specific names and release dates for the upcoming expansions were not detailed today.

Operation Black Ice, released at the start of February, introduced a new map set on a yacht and new operator characters. The expansion was also accompanied by a free update that introduced a spectator camera, among other things.

It remains to be seen what specific content Siege's upcoming DLC expansions will contain.

Siege was released in December on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. GameSpot's Siege review scored the game an 8/10.

"My experiences weren't always perfect, but when Siege works, there's nothing else like it," editor Scott Butterworth said. "It's not designed to appeal to all players, and that's exactly what allows it to be something special. With so much strategic depth, those periods between firefights actually become some of the most rewarding, while firefights themselves are made all the more intense by the knowledge that you're fighting for your life, not just your kill/death ratio."
