Rainbow Six Siege Storms Past the 30 Million Player Mark
Rainbow Six Siege Storms Past the 30 Million Player Mark-October 2024
Oct 21, 2024 5:31 AM

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege has kicked down yet another door, storming past 30 million registered players across all platforms. It would seem Siege is adding players at a rate of about five million ever four-or-so months, as the tactical multiplayer shooter hit 20 million players this past August and 25 million in December. Ubisoft has released a new video celebrating the game's latest milestone.

Rainbow Six Siege brand director Alexandre Remy had this to say about the accomplishment…

“On behalf of the entire team, we wanted to thank every member of our diverse, global community for their support of our game. Our players are the most valuable element to our game. Over the last three years we have endeavored to create a solid community built on transparency as we grow and evolve the ever-expanding world of Rainbow Six Siege. We are so tremendously honored to achieve this milestone, and we will continue to do everything we can to earn each and every new person that decides to play.”

Rainbow Six Siege got off to a slightly rocky start when it first arrived back in 2015, but Ubisoft has managed to build the game’s fanbase with a steady stream of updates. Siege is currently in the midst of its third year of content, and recently delivered Operation Chimera, which included two new operators and the limited-time Operators vs. aliens Outbreak mode. The game’s next “season,” which will add two new Italian operators, will likely arrive sometime this June.

Ubisoft has said they plan to stick with Rainbow Six Siege for years to come, with the goal of eventually releasing 100 Operators for the game. That’s a lofty target, but if the game’s playerbase keeps climbing the way it has, they might just get there!

Rainbow Six Siege is currently available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
