Railroad Tycoon 3, the latest chapter in Gathering's mass-transit strategy series, shipped to stores today. Developed by PopTop Software, the game improves on its train empire-building predecessor. RT3 offers detailed new 3D graphics that will allow tunnel-building and offer scenic vistas in the game's international settings.
Railroad Tycoon 3 also increases the game's scope, now spanning over 20 different missions, many of which are based on actual historical scenarios. RT3 will also feature over 50 different kinds of locomotives, from coal-fueled 19th-century engines to the sleek modern trains like the TGV.
