As usual with every E3, many indie games are drowned in the huge noise of bigger, triple A marketed projects. That's the case of Raiders of the Broken Planet as well, showcased for the first time in a sizzle reel of Microsoft's E3 2016 Briefing and quickly forgotten afterwards.
As you might recall, this is MercurySteam's new game. The Spanish studio classified it as an "online multiplayer asymmetric adventure", though it can be played in single player as well.
The developers then revealed more information via Twitter. In Spanish, they confirmed that Raiders of the Broken Planet won't be Free-to-Play and it's not an MMO type of game.
Es online con opción a single player. No es gratuito, no es MMO. Es una aventura! https://t.co/xwlFahaXnV

MercurySteam's Gameplay and Game Logic Programmer then announced that Raiders of the Broken Planet is based on technology developed in-house, which makes it all the more impressive; the footage is also in-game.
And the teaser is in-game footage, no make up!

A beta is scheduled to hit later this year and you can sign up on the official website. Check out the E3 press release below.
Live the adventure solo, team up with other Raiders or dare to go “asymmetric” storming into battle alongside the bad guys. With its distinctive blend of shooting, brawling and thinking man’s strategy,Raiders of the Broken Planet is a mouth-watering proposition to gamers looking for an immersive, cinematic story coupled with intense and epic action.
“We are very excited to finally be able to pull back the curtain a bit and tease some footage for our new game!” a company spokesman said “We think Raiders has a very unique look and feel and we are constantly striving to build a game that is steeped in tactical choices for the players. Our goal is to deliver our usual high quality art aesthetic but with a really distinctive take on the sci fi genre. Throw in some ambiguous characters, an epic cinematic journey and lots of guns and you have a game that will offer something really exceptional. We can’t wait for players to get their hands on it and try it for themselves”
With this in mind, the company is planning multiple beta programs where players can get in early and help drive the games development.
“We will be revealing a lot more information in the months to come but for now, we hope gamers will get onboard with our beta programs and help shape the game for its future release! All Raiders are welcome and we encourage you to sign up and become a part of our new adventure!”
