Id Software announced on Monday that along with Rogue Entertainment it will develop the second official mission pack for Quake II. It will be called Quake II Mission Pack: Ground Zero. The add-on should be available sometime this summer.
Ground Zero will be published by id and distributed by Activision. No newcomer to the world of Quake, Rogue Entertainment was responsible for the Quake Mission Pack No. 2: Dissolution of Eternity.
The game will add five new hubs, 15 new levels, new weapons, new units and new power-ups to work on Windows 95/98 and Windows NT systems.
For a storyline, the Strogg have built a new weapon called a Gravity Well that threatens you and your army. The Strogg have trapped your fellow warriors in orbit around the planet and only you can save them. Have a look at these shots released by Activision today.
