PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS on Xbox One consoles will require ‘up to 30GB’ of storage according to the game’s placeholder box art.

　　As reported by WindowsCentral, the placeholder packaging for the upcoming shooter has began to surface at major retailers, and with it comes some additional info about the game’s size on Microsoft’s consoles.

　　“Up to 30GB storage” is required on Xbox One consoles if the placeholder packaging is to be believed, and as noted by WindowsCentral, this should be the Xbox One X install size based on install sizes of previous Xbox One X titles such as Forza Motorsport 7.

　　On Steam, 30GB of free space is also mentioned for the PC version, although only 8GB of space is used once fully installed.

　　PUBG for Xbox One (with Xbox One X support) is slated for a release next month on December 12th. The Xbox One version of the game was announced during Microsoft’s E3 2017 press conference. “We’re super excited to welcome PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS to the Xbox One Game Preview Program!” said Chris Charla, Director of ID@Xbox upon the game’s Xbox One announcement.  “Since its launch on PC earlier this year, we’ve been enthusiastic players and it’s been awesome to see its meteoric rise to popularity! We’re eager to collaborate with the team at Bluehole to bring PUBG to the Xbox One community, especially with console launch exclusivity.”

　　“I couldn’t be more excited to be working with the team at Bluehole to bring Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds exclusively to our players on Xbox One this year,” said Xbox head Phil Spencer following Gamescom 2017. “We’ve been huge fans since the very earliest days, and worked hard to bring the game successfully to our E3 briefing. The announcement of our publishing the game on console today is an evolution of the strong partnership we’ve been building over many months.”
