Sony has rolled out PS5 system update 23.02-08.40.00, and we've got you covered with the official release notes.
The new firmware version should download to your console automatically if this feature has been enabled. If not, users can download the update manually through the system update feature. The new system update weighs in at 1.185GB, and aside from the usual performance improvements, it packs security fixes. Additionally, Sony has implemented improvements to messages and usability for the console's UI.

Sony's PS5 is available worldwide now. As covered recently, more than 40 million units of the console were sold some months ago, and in Europe, sales of the console have skyrocketed. It will be interesting to see how many consoles Sony will be able to sell during the holiday season, especially now that its revised 'slimmer' model has hit the shelves.
