Sales of hardware units were up across the board in Japan last week, according to figures released by Media Create.
Nintendo's DS Lite continued to remain on top, despite the PlayStation Portable's three-week surge following the release of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and the new PSP Slim.
Unit sales were up across the board compared to the week before, with the DS Lite shifted 76,243 units on the week, with the PSP being its stiffest competition at 59,792 systems. The Wii sold 27,502 units, while the PlayStation 3 followed with 18,785--widening the gap from PlayStation 2 sales, which stood at 11,698. Xbox 360 figures were also up for the week, rising to 3,718.
In comparison, the week before saw the DS Lite selling 70,608 units, PSP 58,669, Wii 24,932, PS3 17,130, PS2 10,281, and Xbox 360 3,011.
